All the presents were so beautifully wrapped and a most attractive bag.  I felt thoroughly spoiled and touched, especially when I heard that these wonderful presents had been wrapped and donated by the DND.  My sister, Betty, who died on Sept 12th, worked in the said Department for 27 years.  So it seemed rather like a voice from the past and I was doubly moved.

I must sincerely apologies for the delay in thanking you for your delightful gifts at Xmas.
It was a parcel of items that I really appreciated, not everyone thinks a 91 year old loves having such luxurious toilet needs as hand creams, lotions, etc.  So thank you very much for your thoughtful and much appreciated gift.
I had been told earlier that Captain Steele was now overseas, so I did not know how to thank him again for an idea that brings so much pleasure to seniors at Christmas time, until I inquired at the "Good Companions".

This is to thank your employees for their time and effort to give very large bags of gifts to the Good Companion Seniors, and were distributed by the volunteers of that organization.  When it was delivered it was such a surprise.  I told the volunteer that we should be giving more to DND meaning ships, plans, helicopters, armored trucks, etc.  Also, many thanks to the volunteers who took out the gifts as one had to drive and the other deliver because of parking downtown.
This effort was very much appreciated and others that I talked with were very pleased.  The large box of chocolates will be passed around, the small blanket is very useful.  The cookies in the lovely tin were delicious.
